Nuovo post

We have arrived. After a 4 hour delay, we had an uneventful and unslumbered (I just made that word up) trip. We arrived in Rome around 10:30am Roman time and took a train and bus to arrive miraculously directly infront of Villa Rosa the convent we are staying at. It is lovely and really perfectly located. We have wandered a couple of blocks out of the sleepy neighborhood Villa Rosa is in to find the Circus Maximus and the Bocca della Verita at Santa Maria in Cosmedin practically right outside our door. Mom had her first Italian Gelato - strawberry, of course.

We are going to try to get something to eat and take a bus tour - anything to keep us from falling asleep and to get the lay of the land.

If only we had actually left at 5:52!

This was supposed to help us sleep - and keep us healthy - we are surprisingly healthy and have had no sleep!

Mom arrives in Rome, thank you American airlines. I was confronted by security for taking this picture. It was worth it. ( :

This is taking forever, so more pictures later. j&j

What, no blind schools or large sculptured canes! By the way last night as you were flying across the Atlantic and I was trying to find an international tracker site, I found this very useful information about the flight you took. It was rated as a .4 out of a 5! Yes that is a "point" .4. A 5.0 is the best and it didn't even get to a 1.0. The website said that it was better than only 7% of other comparable flights. I would hate to have been on one of those 7% of flights. It rated things such as being on time. I didn't check the return flight, since it would be real hard to be worse-but at 7% there is always a small chance:) Mom looks great in Rome, but then Mom always looks good anywhere!! I miss you. Take care. Dad

Hooray! Benvenuto a Roma! I don't know if that is right, I vaguely remember seeing that at the airport. I am glad you made it. Mom looks very happy... that was before the Italian security tackled Jodi to the tarmac. I liked the picture of all the drinks\drugs on the fold-out table. Your room's view is beautiful & green. Stay cool & enjoy yourself. I have contacted BellaVista in Montepulciano for you. (Good call, dad!) I copied you on the e-mail. Love you much! Eat more gelato! Drink some vino!
