Guten tag!
We arrived in Lenggries, Germany (south of Munich) yesterday for some Alpine air. Today we took a gondola to a mountain peak, went for a hike and ate at a mountain restaurant - very charming, if a little freightening - pictures coming in a future post - hotel computer is quite slow. It was incredibly beautiful and mom enjoyed seeing daisies and drinking a Weißbier.
Jess and Zach are well as well. They are relaxing in the comfort of non-hostel living and are recovering from our very long and hot trainride from Prague yesterday.
Thanks for the posts everyone!

Jodi & Jane: Have some Knodel & Spaetzle for me!! We had some of that delicious stuff (along with some sort of meat) when we went hiking in the Dolomites in Northern Italy after your wedding (because Italy is right next door to London?). It was practically like being in Austria. They had the architecture and lederhosen and everything. It felt very Sound of Music-like. We were in Bolzano and Castelrotto.. just a stone's throw from Lenggries! Google Maps says it is only 2.5 hours away! Ron got a nice gray wool vest there. We stayed someplace like this:

but without the sexy italian lady. We did not see anyone dressed like her in Castelrotto (Kastelruth). Ok, I'm blabbering. Have fun!
Hi mom & Jodi! Sounds like fun! Enjoy Germany. Germany makes me think of Mike Myers yelling, "dance, my sprockets, dance!".
OK, that's my weird post for the day.
Sprockets! Mike Myers! I definitely should get out more, because there is a "generation gap" moment here.Lenggries sounds wonderful. Hopefully you took pictures of Mom in the fields and with the cows, then we can take comparison photos in Union and compare and contrast the two areas. The Alp thing will cause some difficulty in making comparisons, but maybe we can find a big gully on the farm, but a white blanket at the top and pretend it's the Union version of the Alps:) I am anxious and excited to hear about your adventures in person, and have you explain some of the really neat pictures that I have seen in the blogs. This blog thing seems to work very well. Hope your train ride today wasn't too bad and hope you saw some more neat countryside. Please tell Angelo (who I met at Jodi's wedding) and his family how much I appreciate his hospitality for my family. I know that Jodi and Mom are looking forward to some quality time with them. Take care. Love ya. Dad
Sprockets!
Glad to see you all are having a good time. I have enjoyed all of your posts and hope to see more photos and hear more stories soon.
